Despite all the difficulties facing the whole world as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we as God's Children need to continue to pray and depend on the LORD for our day to day existence.
Dear Reader,
I bring you warm greetings of Love and Peace in times like these in the name of Jesus. Despite all the difficulties facing the whole world as a result of the Pandemic, we as God's Children need to continue to pray and depend on the LORD for our day to day existence.
Remember the LORD's promise in Psalm 34 vs. 8 " Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trust in Him!". If you want to be blessed in times like these, put your trust in the LORD Jesus.
I want to continue with the above topic looking at 2 Kings 7 vs 13 - 17
And one of his servants answered and said, ' Please , let several men take five of the remaining horses which are left in the city. Look, they may either become like all the multitude of Israel that are left in it; or indeed, l say, they may become like all the multitude of Israel left from those who are consumed; so let us send them and see.
Therefore they took two chariots with horses; and the king sent them in the direction of the Syrian army, saying, 'Go and see.' And they went after them to the Jordan; and indeed all the road was full of garments and weapons which the Syrians had thrown away in their haste. So the messengers returned and told the king. Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.
Praise the LORD, things happen whenever we as God's children move out in faith believing God no matter how hopeless the situation might be. Even though the king himself was not thinking in the direction of what the four lepers had said happened, when one of his servants suggested to " go and see", he didn't restrain them. As a human being at times you might not have all the good steps needed to get victory, you have to prayerfully listen to Godly counsel and also try things. The " Go and See" brought to light what God had already done for the city of Samaria.
Everyone was excited at the report of the men when they came back. I pray for you in times like these as you are hoping on the Almighty God for help, you will receive from Him your heart desires according to His will in the name of Jesus.
Much more important to note is that the word of God which Elisha had spoken to the hearing of the king and the people in 2 Kings 7 vs. 1, had come to pass in verse 16 above. Praise God!!!. We need to believe what God has spoken to us in His Word at all times no matter how opposite the situations we are currently facing might be.
Hence always have hope in God contrary to hope. Please l want you to read the scriptures again in 2 kings 7 verses 1 to 16 that we have looked at again and again.
Remember we are told in verse 16 above that when the people heard the report of the king's servants, the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. They did not even wait to get permission from the king. This is to let you know how desperate the situation in the city of Samaria was. The plunder was so great that the prices of things in the city crashed - the law of demand and supply.
God had so much blessed the people that there was more goods than the people needed within 24 hours as stated in verse 1.
We need to believe God that with Him all things are possible as stated in Luke 1 vs. 37 " For with God nothing will be impossible"
Be encouraged and God bless you real good. I will continue in my next article by God's grace.
